Report from the Home Front – Westley/Brodie

Mr. Brodie is reporting in from his new home – July 2023

Hi Uncle Stephen and Aunt Tina!

I am dictating this update report to my mom as I am not allowed anymore to get on the computer by myself ever since I ordered a pizza when mom was not at home. Hey, I had her credit card. It wasn't like I was going to rob the delivery guy by biting him on the leg when he got here, gee whiz!

As you are aware, I came into the Westie Rescue program in pretty bad shape having been found walking the streets. I hurt all over, I stunk, and I have infections. Plus I was loosing fur due to my environment. With Westie Rescue's help, support, and care, I received great Vet care, a spa day to clean me up, and you all helped me find a new HOME. What a great service to homeless little guys like me!

Poor little guy was in really bad shape when he came into the program, but after some Vet help and a gentle groomer who came in on her day off to work wonders, out of the tub popped out a clean Westie!

After my mom adopted me, I was renamed "Brody". I am now a beautiful 18 pound happy and healthy boy. In true Westie fashion, I loves my daily walks and treats that I get for being such a good boy. I still sleep in the human bed at night with mom. I often steal her spot in the bed! I love everyone. My mom says I have the sweetest disposition and I make friends with everyone we meet.

I know by looking in my mom's eyes that I am loved very much!

Here's a few recent pics as I just completed a spa day today! What do you all think? Look at my bod. That is one good look fur body.💙

Westie Rescue was happy to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome Westley (now BRODIE). It is a wonderful day when we get emails from adopted Westies who write of their new lives, their adventures, and how much they are loved in their new homes. These are the stories that make all the effort of rescue worthwhile.

Through your efforts in supporting Westie Rescue, we fight hard to make sure that each and every Westie who comes to our attention gets that second chance at a great new life. Together with our string of fantastic Vets, we have been able to rebuild the heath and spirit of those who were dropped off at shelters, those whose owners have fallen in into poor health unable to care for their best friends, and those Westies who come into our program with medical conditions requiring extensive and complex efforts to diagnose, treat, and resolve. All of these little ones are helped by your contributions.

Please help us help other Westies like Brodie who need medical care and a great new home like he found with our help.

Having just lost my own rescue after 14 wonderful years, I find this post (the rehabilitation of Brodie from the abyss of abuse) and your work heartwarming. I long to find the next rescue – there is nothing like a Westie for companionship.
