Marsh on guard duty, growing fur, and a new name!
Another one of our rescue boys from 2021, is reporting in from his home in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Mr Marsh – Male Westie (4 years old)
Mr Marsh wanted to let everyone know that his new home is perfect and he is enjoying life. Marsh came into our program as his original home had way too much activity and he needed special care for a skin condition and additional medical issues. He has found the perfect home and wants to share his story with everyone.
Marsh reporting in February 2, 2022
Marsh Says: "Got a lot more fur growing since I got my butt adopted. I am now living in Charlottesville, VA, where I have a front row seat to the passing world just outside my windows. I been getting a weekly medicated bath that has calmed my skin issues a lot and allowed me to grow fur! As you can see in my pictures I am getting better. The fur on my feet is growing really slow so I will be sporting that "chewed leg look" for a few more months.
In my new home I am on constant guard duty as there are people driving by, walking by and even a few of those rodents running around in the yard. Squirrels/rodents/whatever. I was told that they really are tree rats, so they have to be hunted to extinction. I have a chair I stand on to get a clear view of all front yard activity. When I see something going on I jump down and tell my mom we need to go out and investigate RIGHT NOW! Sometimes, she is on a call and expects me to wait. Come on now, have you ever heard of a Westie with patience? I haven't either.
I sleep in the Big Bed at night and sometimes during the day when I am really tired. Sleeping with humans in the wintertime is great as get 2/3 the bed and my mom doesn't even mind. I sleep like a rock in those covers.
I get a lot of attention, belly rubs, scratches, eye cleaning, feet cleaning after a long walk in the snow. My new life is everything a Westie could want. Good food, lots of activity, and a warm bed. What more could I ask for?
I have a Vet appointment coming up where I am going to get "tutored". I think that was the word they used. I like the idea of schooling, so I am all in on that idea. I wonder if they give out treats for good grades? They said I am going to have my teeth cleaned while I am there. How that is going to work while I am busy chewing treats, I have no idea. Besides who knew Vets run schools for dogs too? Uncle Stephen told me not to fall asleep on my back. Heck, I am going to be too busy learning, not sleeping.
Oh, I almost forgot. I have a new name to go with my new life. I am now Linus. That name sounds so familiar, like something I saw in the paper but I can't put my paw to it. Oh well, another mystery.
Well that all for this report. I will write again when I get my diploma and my class rankings! – LINUS 2/2022
