Puppies, puppies, and more puppies - Now at 1 Year

"Hello from our new lives, It B me, Tommy, formerly known to all as "Tater Tot" as I was the big fat boy in my large family of Westies.

Well, it has been one year this month that we all popped out and started total mayhem at Aunt Tina's house. If we hadn't been so cute, I don't think any of us would have survived this past year. Growing up as a terrier with humans takes a lot of patience.

We all operate on instinct of See something: chew on something, play with something, or dig in something. It is so much fun until it isn't. One stern look from our new mom or dad just makes us freeze. I get the Oh-oh, I'm in trouble now, the thought cloud popping out of our short attention span little heads. It doesn't last but a Nano second as I am off to find the next adventure. Bugs, plants, shoes, clothing on the floor, loose pillows, dog bed corners, things that should be chewed on and somethings that should NOT get chewed on.

We all have been sending photos and notes telling the story of our new lives. All of us report we were well trained by our whelping mom, Aunt Tina, and her granddaughter Destry, to be a best little helpers and buddies to all our adopted families. Getting the right training and socialization early in life makes transitions and new encounters easy as we all have the Westie attitudes of great self-esteems and an aura of self-importance.

For our birthday, our moms and dads did all the right things. Some of us had cupcakes (Winston), a family Birthday party, a snooze on the couch, a new toy, a romp in the fields around town, and even some of us got a car ride to pick out our gift at the local pet store toy aisle.

This past Memorial Day, I Tommy, went camping with my dad. I have never smelled so many animals and critters in my short life. It was GREAT! Car ride, hiking, snacking, getting a hydro break every few hundred feet, and the best part I got to get all dirty! I slept like a log that night, I can tell you. Head down... Poof, I was out.

I wanted to say to mom and dad that we are all happy, well adjusted, and doing fine in our new lives thanks to you, Aunt Tina, and Westie Rescue."

PS: "Here are a few shots from my brothers and sisters on our birthday. Some of them were too busy to send in a shot but before the week is out I am sure I will have more to post."
