West Highland White Terrier Rescue of CA, or Westie Rescue of CA, is a private not-for-profit organization that serves all of California and the following states; ARIZONA, WASHINGTON, OREGON, NEVADA, UTAH , IDAHO, NEW MEXICO AND BAJA CALIFORNIA (MEXICO). And, we are very proud to be recognized as the first private not for profit Westie Rescue organization to serve the entire state of California.

We were organized specifically for the sole purpose of providing rescue, rehabilitation and adoption services for Westies In Need. We actively participate in the communities which we serve, providing public breed education at dog related events, parades, and hosting our own 'Paws In The Park' fund raising events.

We are an all volunteer organization, there are no paid positions, nor paid staff. We all serve deriving pleasure in giving back to the breed we dearly love. Our organization relies upon a strong and constantly motivated network of volunteers to provide foster care, rehabilitation, in-home checks, shelter visits, Veterinarian care and tirelessly working much needed fund raising projects.

We are a very active group, currently placing about 100+ Westies per year. We rely on public donations and in-kind contributions for our needed rescue efforts to continue. Any and all donations are welcome and appreciated. ALL donations directly benefit the rescues in our program's care and are the lifeblood of our organization's forward motion.

We organize fun events for Westie's and their 'staff' to participate throughout the year.

Our Executive Director and Founding Directors have well over 90+ years combined in the Westie breed and are associated with WHWTC of CA and WHWTC of America.

We have a stellar reputation within the rescue community, known for finding just the right adoptive homes for the dog's needs and a network of knowledgeable caring volunteers. Our organization stands behind our many years of experience, placement policies and placing Westies in their wonderful 'forever theirs' adoptive homes.

Thank you for considering a rescued Westie for your home and heart. Trust us you will not be sorry! Woof woof!
